Working on getting certified as a Texas Waters Specialist? More opportunities for accruing the needed 8 hours for initial certification are coming up soon! (of course there are ALWAYS plenty of volunteering opportunities so you can stay certified by doing 10 hours of volunteer service per year on water-related activities.)
REPLY TO ME IF YOU WISH TO ATTEND THE ONLINE CLASS! Late next week I will send out the link to join the meeting so I need to hear from you if you want to attend.
On June 29, from 8:30 to 11:30am, you can attend the In-Person Water Lab at the Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park, 6464 Creekside Forest Drive. We’ll be learning about watersheds in general, and update the status of our local activities related to the Spring Creek Watershed Protection Plan. You’ll enjoy some hands-on ways to better see how water issues are driven by natural and human impacts, including land use!
AGAIN, Reply if you plan to attend! I will have the Texas Waters books, plus other helpful handouts and supplies for you, but i need to know how many people will be there. If you show up without letting me know in advance, you will be welcome, but you may not get materials. I load my supplies on Friday afternoon, so REPLY by noon Friday, June 28 if you want the handouts. If you let me know you intend to be at the water lab, i will remind you closer to the date.
As always, let me know by reply if you want to be removed from these notifications.
And let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks for your interest in water issues!
Regards,
Teri MacArthur
