A Tale of Two Snappers

Jesse H. Jones Park is home to two species of snapping turtles: the Alligator Snapping Turtle (Macrochely temminckii) and the Common Snapping Turtle (Chelydra serpentina). The program will examine ways they are similar and how they differ. Ages 10+. Meet in the nature center.
When possible, live specimens will be on display for participants to see.
