We have been asked to help with another Eagle Scout Project. Our Task Force will assist Scouts in targeting invasive Air Potato vines and tubers.
Saturday, July 22
Target species: Air Potato
Activity: Plant removal including tubers, bagging and hauling
Location: 6 S. High Oaks Cir (from I45 go W on Sawdust Rd; S on Sawmill Rd; E on S. High Oaks Cir to 6 S. High Oaks Cir)
Time: 7:00a-11:30a come when you can, leave when you must
Dress for the elements, sturdy waterproof shoes or boots, garden gloves and hat; also bring bug repellent and plenty of water.
Wear your Invasives t-shirt—or if this is your first time volunteering with ITF, claim your shirt!
Other helpful tools: eye protection, hand pruners, digging trowels.
The Township has lopping shears, sharp shooter shovels and mini shovels. If you have your own tools please bring them labeled with your name.
