Air Potato Removal at Rush Haven

Target species: Dioscorea bulbifera Air Potato
Activity: Removing vines from trees, tracing vines to ground, digging tubers and harvesting bulbils.
Location: Greenbelt behind 155 Rush Haven Drive last visited 10/7/2023
Park: Near 155 Rush Haven Drive at Sandpebble Drive
Time: 8am-11:30am come when you can, leave when you must
Dress for the elements, sturdy waterproof shoes or boots, garden gloves and hat; also bring mosquito repellent and water. Wear your Invasives t-shirt—or if this is your first time volunteering with ITF, claim your shirt!
Other helpful tools: eye protection, hand pruners, digging trowels, 5-gal buckets, garden rakes.
The Township has lopping shears, sharp shooter shovels and mini shovels.
