Are you curious about how people lived in Southeast Texas in the past? This will be the focus of our Public Archaeology Day at Arrowwood Preserve on Friday, March 22nd.
March 22nd Public Archaeology Day
This 90-minute site visit will include opportunities to observe and interact with ASH&E archaeologists during excavations, work with archaeologists to screen and identify artifacts, and learn basic field methodologies. The visit will include a discussion of the land use and lifeway history of peoples living along Spring Creek.
Registration is required and limited. You will need to provide your own gloves and drinking water, in addition to wearing long pants, closed-toes shoes, and bringing insect repellent/sun protection. There is no water or restroom on site.
