Bird Survey Hike at Jesse H. Jones Nature Center

- Description: Volunteers will help with crowd control and handing out of materials. They will participate in the hike and survey for birds, but no experience required.
Program Details: Meet in the nature center, then take a two-mile, two hour walk on a paved, sandy or gravel trail. Please wear closed toed shoes and protection from the sun and insects. Binoculars provided. Bring a fully charged cell phone with the Merlin and eBird apps downloaded; others will show you how to use them to collect data for the survey. Data reported to Houston Audubon as part of a larger project!
