Chapter Meeting
February 12 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Presentation: Saint Francis Wolf Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Navasota, Texas. Its mission is to provide exceptional lifelong sanctuary to non-releasable wolves and wolfdogs, while sharing a message of education and conservation.
This presentation will focus on
- the history of wolves in Texas,
- how to identify a wolf vs. a dog,
- the ecological niche wolves fill,
- current threats to wolves, and
- ongoing conservation efforts in the United States.
Heartwood Chapter Meetings are scheduled monthly on the second Wednesday (except December) at 6 p.m. on the first floor of Sam Houston State University, Woodlands Campus, 3380 College Park Dr, The Woodlands.
