Chapter Meeting – Mycology

Wednesday, June 11, 6:30 – 8:00pm
Chapter Meeting (Hybrid)
SHSU, Woodlands Campus, 3380 College Park Dr (3rd floor)
In person networking at 6:00pm
Speaker:

During our 20th Anniversary of the Heartwood Chapter, we have several Chapter meeting speakers who have talked to us about great topics. For the June meeting this will continue this trend and hear from one of the younger members of our community.

Willow DaVanon is a very ambitious 11-year-old who enjoys crocheting, drawing and mycology. She is a Jr. Master Naturalist who volunteers and has created a mushroom program at Lake Houston Wilderness Park. Her love of fungi started when she was just 5 years old and now wants to be a mycologist, write a book and discover a new species of fungi while traveling the U.S.

She will speak on the topic of Mycology and her Lake Houston Park project.

Please join us during this special year for this special speaker. We are also asking others from the Jr. Master Naturalist group to join us as well.
