The Jones State Forest is seeking TMN Heartwood volunteers to assist with the forest’s annual conservation education program, “Classroom Without Walls”. For over 20 years, Classroom Without Walls has been introducing local elementary students to concepts such as forest ecology, wildlife management, and the water cycle. TMN Heartwood volunteers play a vital role in the success of this program every year. Volunteers are needed to assist with teaching at the Water, Wildlife, and Nature Observation stations. Don’t feel comfortable teaching? Volunteer as a group leader to help direct students to their next station and learn which station interests you the most! Lessons & content at each station revolve around a specific Project Learning Tree Activity. All materials and lunch are provided!
