Participate in this event, and you’ll be part of the first effort to fully count the entire Katy Prairie population of Texas Prairie Dawn (Hymenoxys texana). Your efforts will help bring attention to this magnificent, under-appreciated plant, its unique community, and the remaining Katy Prairie remnants in which it thrives.
Meeting Locations:
Friday at Warren Ranch Rock Hollow Gate (29°58’9.75″N, 95°50’35.11″W) – We’ll hit the Upper Meadows, Corner, and possibly the Jack Road South areas.
Saturday at Jack Road South Gate (29°58’0.85″N, 95°49’39.10″W) – We’ll hit the Jack Road.

What to Bring: Long-sleeved shirt, long pants, boots/shoes, hat, sunscreen, bug repellent, snake guards, knee rest/pads, water bottle, snacks/lunch. Water and a port-a-can will be available on site.
