Friends of Lake Livingston Volunteer Opportunity – Wednesday, October 1, 2025
There is a volunteer opportunity to participate in the next Friends of Lake Livingston planting event on
Wednesday October 1 starting at 8:00 am. The meeting point is Scott Balls’ son’s lake house at the end
of Thomas Lake Rd – 162 Thomas Lake Rd, Huntsville. Volunteers are needed to oversee participating
high school students as they are planting beneficial riparian plants, conducting water testing and
macroinvertebrate studies, and learning more about aquatic ecosystems. Over 100 students from area
high schools plan to participate and we could use your help.
