Webinar Description:
We will discuss recent efforts to model habitat and species distribution of the Houston Toad. These models could be used for numerous conservation efforts such as future reintroductions, monitoring, and mitigation. We will review the former distribution, current threats, and natural history of the species.
Bio:
Danielle has graduated with a PhD in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences at Texas A&M University. Since graduation she has worked for Texas A&M NRI as a research scientist and recently received a joint appointment in the department of Range, Wildlife and Fisheries Management. Toby has worked as a curator for Texas A&M at the Biodiversity Research and Teaching Collection for over 15 years. Recently, he was hired as teaching faculty in the department of Ecology and Conservation Biology.
