Houston Educators Professional Development Week

Application for Houston Educators PD Week
Thank you for your interest in attending a fun week of professional development in Houston! You are applying to attend all four days of training, at different locations. If selected for the workshop, we will be in touch by May 8 with further instructions.
BYO lunch & a reusable water bottle each day. Expect to be indoors and outdoors. All materials provided for a total cost of $100. Partial scholarships may be available.
Gain exposure to green careers, get 3 workbooks full of activities, and practice using the outdoors as a classroom. Learn more about Houston, so you can teach more about Houston!
Each day starts at 9 a.m. at a new location, and wraps up by 3 p.m. Earn up to 24 hours of CPE. We can help you with language to request G/T credit from your campus administrator.
Schedule:
June 8 – Jesse H. Jones Park & Nature Center in Humble, focus on birding & wildlife, certified in Project Wild
June 9 – W.G. Jones State Forest in Conroe, focus on forestry, certified in Project Learning Tree
June 10 – Mercer Botanic Garden in Spring, focus on water quality & greenhouse management, certified in Aquatic Wild
June 11 – Sheldon Lake State Park in Sheldon, focus on fishing & programs through Texas Parks & Wildlife Department, certified in Angler Education
