Installation and Maintenance of Native Landscapes in-person class with a plant identification walk
Hosted by the Native Plant Society of Texas, Pines and Prairies Chapter
– Recognize differences between native and non-native landscapes
– Become familiar with how to install different types of native plants, including plant choice, acquisition, placement, spacing, bed and soil preparation, mulching
– Understand maintenance requirements and techniques, and create maintenance schedules for native plants in your landscape
– Learn 45 native plants for your landscape and 5 plants to avoid
– You must complete Level 1, Native Landscape Certification Program before taking this class
– 7 hours AT for Texas Master Naturalist and Master Gardeners
