Invasive Species Task Force
July 9 @ 8:00 am – 11:00 am
Wednesday, July 9, Rush Haven Targeted species: Air Potato tubers and vines, Japanese Climbing Fern, Elephant Ears, and any other invasives we can find! Time: 8:00-11:00 am – feel free to come anytime within this timeframe Park: Park on Flintridge or in the parking lot for George Mitchell Preserve at 5171 Flintridge Dr. Location: From the parking lot cross Flintridge, turn left on the pathway, walk behind the lift station and follow the yellow caution tape on the trees and invasive signs. Dress for the elements with sturdy waterproof shoes or boots, garden gloves and hat; also bring bug repellent and water. Wear your Invasives t-shirt—or if this is your first time volunteering with ITF, claim your shirt! Other helpful tools: eye protection, hand pruners, digging trowels, shovel, and a bucket or other device to collect potatoes. Make sure your tools are labeled.
Waivers must be renewed annually– if you have not already done so, please go to this link to complete a waiver for 2025.
