Invasive Species Task Force

July 24 @ 8:00 am 11:00 am

Thursday July 24th – High Oaks
Targeted species: Air Potato tubers and vines, Japanese Climbing Fern, Elephant Ears, and any other invasives we can find!
Time: 8:00-11:00 am – feel free to come anytime within this timeframe
Park: Park at the end of Sawmill Road along the side of the road (do not block the fire hydrant at the end of the road)
Location: The entrance to the work is next to 6 S. High Oaks Circle, a short walk from Sawmill.  Follow the signs.

Dress for the elements with sturdy waterproof shoes or boots, garden gloves and hat; also bring bug repellent and water. Wear your Invasives t-shirt—or if this is your first time volunteering with ITF, claim your shirt!

Other helpful tools: eye protection, hand pruners, digging trowels, shovel, and a bucket or other device to collect potatoes. Make sure your tools are labeled.

Waivers must be renewed annually– if you have not already done so, please go to this link to complete a waiver for 2025.
