Litter Collection and Audit at Sawmill Park

Saturday, May 6, from 9 to 11:30am, meet at Sawmill Park (2200 Millpark Dr, 77380) to help with a Litter Collection and Audit. This is a part of the Trash Free Waters program of Keep Texas Beautiful that Environmental Services of The Woodlands Township participates in. Please SHARE THIS INVITATION with your group!
Meet at the Pavilion in Sawmill Park at 9am. We’ll divide up the various areas around the park and collect litter/trash for about 30 minutes. Then we will literally sort and count all the litter we picked up. Plan on completing the project no later than 11:30am. The data collected is reported to the TxLitter Database. It’s a GREAT Volunteer Project!
I will bring all the gear needed. Please dress for the weather and wear long pants and closed shoes for the work. Bring drinking water in a refillable bottle if you have one as there are drinking fountains to refill them in the park. Bug spray could be helpful.
It is helpful to know if you are coming so Teri can bring an adequate number of collecting bags and grabbers, etc., so REPLY to [email protected] if you can be there. Thank you!
