New World Screwworm – A Framework for Management Decisions and Action
Presenter: Jason Sawyer, Chief Science Officer, East Foundation
Date: Wednesday, October 29, 2025
Time: 12:00–1:00 p.m. CDT

As the New World screwworm outbreak travels further north and threatens the Texas border, land managers, cattlemen, hunters, and landowners must be prepared with the tools and knowledge to protect livestock and wildlife. This free, one-hour webinar will provide insight into what this potential outbreak may look like and offer practical steps to help you better protect your livestock and wildlife resources.

The Wild at Work webinars, hosted monthly by the Texas Wildlife Association, offer opportunities to learn from experts on key wildlife and conservation topics—from hog control toxicants and pond management to the impacts of wind energy on bat populations. Recordings are also available afterward on the TWA YouTube channel.
