Austin chapter of Native Plant Society of Texas presents Rare Texas Natives via Zoom on January 16, 2024 @ 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm.
Presenter: Michael Eason, Associate Director of Conservation and Collections of the San Antonio Botanical Gardens. All are welcome.
Bio: Michael Eason joined the San Antonio Botanical Gardens in 2017 as representative of the Center for Plant Conservation. With his extensive knowledge of the region’s flora and ecology and more than 20 years of experience as a conservationist, Mr. Eason has been instrumental in guiding SABG’s efforts to preserve rare plants species of South Texas and Northern Mexico. Prior to joining SABG in 2017, Mr. Eason managed conservation and field survey programs at the Wildflower Center. Mr. Eason continues to contribute through his consulting business, Texas Flora, and as a writer and as an author and advocate for native flora. Mr. Eason is also the State Botanist for the Native Plant Society of Texas.
