Removal of Invasives on Spring Creek Nature Trail at Pruitt Road

Targeted species: Japanese Climbing Fern
Time: 8:00-11:00 am – come when you can, leave when you must.
Location: 1068 Pruitt Road, Montgomery County Nature Preserve
Park in parking lot at the entrance to the trail
Dress for the elements with sturdy waterproof shoes or boots, garden gloves and hat; also bring bug repellent and water. Wear your Invasives t-shirt—or if this is your first time volunteering with ITF, claim your shirt!
Other helpful tools: eye protection, hand pruners, digging trowels, sharpshooters. Make sure your tools are labeled. We do have some lopping shears, sharp shooter shovels and mini shovels.
Waivers must be renewed annually– if you have not already done so, please go to this link to complete a waiver for 2025.
