The Joy of Sassafras

Jesse H. Jones Park is blessed with the occasional Sassafras tree (Sassafras albidum). Learn about the many uses of this tree such as its role in tea, root beer, and gumbo. It also provides colorful fall foliage and prevents erosion. Ages 10+. Meet in the nature center.
