The Woodlands Invasive Task Force Work Day

Removing tallow sprouts and saplings; tagging tallows
Date: Tuesday July 12
Time: 7:30-10:00a come when you can leave when you must
Location: Shadowlake Marsh 5050 Lake Woodlands Dr off of the Boardwalk GM 7
Park: on Lake Woodlands in front of Marsh OR at Shadowbend Park across Lake Woodlands
Dress for the elements with long, loose light clothing, sturdy waterproof shoes or boots, garden gloves and hat; also bring mosquito repellent and lots of water. Wear your Invasives t-shirt—or if this is your first time volunteering, claim your shirt!
Other helpful tools: eye protection, hand pruners, digging trowels, 5-gal buckets, garden rakes.
The Township has lopping shears, sharp shooter shovels and mini shovels.

I will be out of town the last two weeks of July. However if you have a “pet” spot, consider monitoring it along with a partner and report site, date, time spent and volume collected to me . Contact Teri MacArthur for greenwaste pick up by The Township.
