Volunteer to be a judge Montgomery County Fair – apply by 11 March

April 8 @ 8:00 am 5:00 pm

Montgomery County Farm Bureau is looking for volunteers to serve as judges for the 2026 Montgomery County Fair Ag Public Speaking and Discussion Meet contest set for Wednesday April 8, 2026 at the Lone Star Convention Center.

No experience is required, just a willingness to support and encourage the youth of Montgomery County.

Two types of judges role are needed:

Public Speaking Judge: Evaluate prepared speeches and determine which students demonstrate the strongest content, delivery, and overall presentation.

Discussion Meet Judge: Evaluate participants in a committee style discussion and determine which students present the strongest ideas, communication skills, and collaborative leadership.

If you are interested in serving as judge please fill out our short Google Form by clicking HERE, we ask you fill it out by March 11, 2026.

Serving as a judge for the Montgomery County Fair Agricultural Public Speaking and Discussion Meet qualifies for Texas Master Naturalist volunteer hours because the event directly supports youth education in subjects deeply connected to natural resources, including plant science, animal science, ecology, soil and water conservation, and sustainable agriculture. By evaluating student presentations and discussions, volunteers help promote understanding of how agricultural systems depend on natural processes and reinforce stewardship concepts aligned with the TMN mission. This activity fits within TMN’s approved categories for natural resource–related youth education, community outreach, and partnership support with organizations that promote conservation‑minded learning.

Please let me know if you need any additional information from my end!

Best,

Jaden Kelly
