Billions of migratory birds are currently flying south to their wintering grounds, but the habitats they need to survive once they get there are at risk. Birds need suitable habitat throughout their entire journey to ensure their survival, and with habitat loss as the number one threat they face, it’s time to scale up conservation efforts outside of existing protected areas.
That’s why American Bird Conservancy (ABC) has launched BirdsPlus. This innovative program aims to rapidly expand bird habitat conservation by investing in sustainable development in the places most important to migratory birds in Latin American and the Caribbean.
Join ABC on Tuesday, September 19 at 3:00PM CT to learn more about the incredible journey that migratory birds take each fall, the perils they face, and how ABC is working with a wide range of partners to scale up habitat conservation in the places they need it most.
