Mercer Botanic Gardens and the Mercer Botanic Center do a wonderful job recognizing their volunteers each year. This year, of course, was different. The volunteer appreciation picnic, the awards and the plant giveaway were cancelled. But Mercer couldn’t let National Volunteer Appreciation Week go by without recognizing their volunteers, many of them Heartwood Master Naturalists, who donated 14,000 hours of service in 2019!
