2026 HLSR Ranching & Wildlife Expo Seminars
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is presenting the 2026 Ranching & Wildlife Expo Educational Seminar. Some of these subjects will count towards our Advanced Training requirement. I am only listing the ones that will count, thus they are listed separately. These seminars may be in person or via zoom. Day 2: Wildlife and Diseases

2:00 pm to 2:30 pm: Quail Ecology and Management: Jared Schlottman, Wildlife Habitat Federation & 1911 Cattle Company
2:30 pm to 3:00 pm: Waterfowl Ecology and Management: Taylor Abshier, Ducks Unlimited
3:00 pm to 3:30 pm: Turkey Ecology and Management: Jason Hardin, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department
3:30 pm to 4:30 pm: Feral Pig Management Toolbox: Jay Long, Texas A&M Natural Resources Institute
