American Bird Conservancy: Free, Webinar

WEBINAR: Bird-Friendly Spring Q&A with ABC Experts

WHEN: Wednesday, April 29, 2026 4:00 PM –  5:00 PM ET

WHERE: Zoom (link provided upon registration)

COST: Free!

It’s springtime in North America, and beloved migratory birds like the Wood Thrush, Ruby-throated Hummingbird, and Western Tanager are returning to breed and raise their young, often sharing space with us in our yards, parks, and communities.

What do these travelers need to ensure they survive their perilous journeys? Stopover sites to rest and refuel, habitat that provides clean water and the native plants and insects they depend on, and places that are free of deadly threats, such as windows, deadly pesticides, and invasive species.

It all comes down to habitat — it’s the foundation for birds’ survival. But habitat loss is the number one threat to birds throughout the Western Hemisphere, from wetlands to deserts, and even in urban areas. But wherever you are, you can help Save a Place for Birds. We’ll tell you how!

American Bird Conservancy on Wednesday, April 29 at 4:00 pm ET for a Q&A with our bird conservation experts to learn ways you can support migratory birds through their journeys and set them — and your year-round resident species — up for a successful breeding season!

You’ll learn directly from ABC experts, including:

  • Andrés Anchondo, Director of Migratory Bird Habitats in Latin America and Caribbean;
  • Hardy Kern, Director of Government Relations, Birds and Pesticides Campaign;
  • Ashley Peele, Science Integration Coordinator, Appalachian Mountains Joint Venture;
  • Jayme Strange, Northern Forests Conservation Delivery Network Coordinator.
