Texas AgriLife The Lone Star Healthy Streams program is an important water quality education initiative in Texas. The goal of the Lone Star Healthy Streams (LSHS) program is the protection of Texas waterways from bacterial contamination originating from livestock operations and feral hogs that may pose a serious health risk to Texas citizens.  This part will include defining watersheds, how to find your watershed, and how healthy is your watershed.  She will shed light on water impairments, especially bacteria issues associated with livestock and feral hogs.  Lastly, she will introduce water quality and law in Texas and discuss restoration and protection of watersheds.
