AT: Herpetofauna of South Texas – A Primer for Master Naturalists

Objectives:
  • Distinguish different groups of amphibians and reptiles of S. Texas.
  • Be familiar with herptile myths and folklore.
  • Use a dichotomous key for selected herptiles.
  • Observe external physical adaptations of each group of herptiles.
  • Explore the variety of local herptiles, their habitats, their adaptations, and behaviors.
  • Learn to handle live reptiles.
