Global Big Day Birding Event

Volunteer Opportunity!  The Cornell Lab of Ornithology is calling for volunteers to participate in a Global Big Day to collect data on bird species around the world! This is a citizen scientist opportunity similar to a Christmas Bird Count.  Don’t worry — you don’t need to be a bird expert, or to go out all day long. Even a half hour checklist from your backyard will help. Of course, you are welcome to spend the entire day in the field, but know that it is not required! Please enter your data as soon as you can, preferably by Tuesday, May 16.  For more information, check out the Lab’s website here.
