April 17, 2017 @ 8:00 am - 10:30 am

Volunteer Opportunity!  Come help remove invasive plants from the Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve on April 17.  8 am to 10:30 am.  For more information contact Lauren Piorkowski at [email protected]  or (361) 826-3311.

From Lauren:

We will be having another “Volunteer Field Work Day” on April 17th starting at 8:00am. We will be continuing our project of removing guinea grass and other invasive grass. Depending on the weather, we will be working until around 10:30am, but if you are interested in participating, you are not required to stay the entire time.  We will be providing gloves, necessary equipment and a water jug to re-fill water bottles. Feel free to bring any gardening tools you have at home that may help you. Hats, closed toed shoes and sunscreen are always highly encouraged.

Please let me know if you are interested in attending on April 17th! If you have any friends or family members that would like to become an official volunteer or just volunteer for the day, please do not hesitate to contact me. I hope to hear from you soon!

Thank you,
