Advanced Training Opportunity: Come out to the Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve to hearTexas A&M University-Corpus Christi graduate students,Michelle Culver and Claire Rydman, share their work at the Harte Research Institute.
Treasure maps are not just for pirates! Not only can you use a map to find something, like a treasure, but maps can also be used to discover a hidden pattern or to learn more about our surroundings. The Coastal and Marine Geospatial Lab researchers create and use maps to solve problems and address unanswered questions about the Gulf of Mexico coastline. Come and learn about how these researchers use maps to discover new information about sea turtle habitat and to find ways to protect us from storms and sea level rise. Participants will use a map to find hidden treasures throughout the preserve, discovering fun facts about maps and wetlands along the way.
