South Texas TMN Monthly Chapter Meeting
Stephen Curtis (America Eel monitoring Project) will be discussing an upcoming project designed to assess the status of American Eel in Texas. The primary objectives of this project are to quantify the distribution and abundance, characterize the population structure, and describe life history characteristics of American Eel across the mid-upper Texas Coast. He will also talk about ways in which you can assist with equipment construction and field sampling to provide much needed data to conserve and manage this unique species.
The talk begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Education Station at the South Texas Botanical Gardens and Nature Center, 8545 S. Staples St. Corpus Christi.
Our speakers are first on the agenda and usually have a presentation that lasts about 45 minutes followed by a refreshment break and business meeting. This meeting is free and open to the public. Please join us!
