TERN Training
Advanced Training Opportunity: The International Crane Foundation (ICF) is partnering with Audubon Texas to conduct a citizen science based monitoring project. Master Naturalists are trained to monitor shorebirds for Audubon and Whooping Cranes for ICF. The training is called TERN CAMP (Texas Estuarine Research Network & Crane Activity Monitoring Project).
On Monday, March 26, we will meet at the South Texas Botanical Gardens located at 8545 S. Staples St.,Corpus Christi TX from 9am-4pm. That day, we will be showing you presentations and teaching you how to conduct the different surveys.
On Tuesday, March 27th, we will be doing a boat tour in Rockport, TX to show you the Whooping cranes and shorebirds as well as practice the surveys. The boat tour will start at 7:30am and will be done at 12pm. Let us know if you are interested, there is limited availability!
