“Trees and other plants are my main focus, but I also love learning about insects, birds, snakes, fungi… (I really just love learning!)”

I retired from teaching in 2017, but still have a passion for learning and sharing what I’ve learned. Becoming a TMN in 2018 has allowed me plenty of room for both! During my training class, I was introduced to iNaturalist and started using it casually. Within a month or two, I was hopelessly hooked! It’s been such a terrific learning tool, and I’ve met some wonderful people on iNaturalist. I joined the BPTMN Training Committee the first chance I got, and it’s been a privilege to greet and get to know each new Training Class for the last 4 years.
Besides those two main passions, I’ve done lots of different activities, from trail guiding to digging up milkweed and hauling brush: I’ve found that most anything can be fun working alongside people I enjoy being with, i.e., fellow Master Naturalists!
