The Nature Conservancy is celebrating 40 years of conservation work at the Clymer Meadow Preserve in 2026! We invite you to visit the prairie as a part of the 40th Annual Spring Wildflower Tour on May 16th.
Come see the bright spring colors as we walk through this relic, old-growth tallgrass prairie. Clymer Meadow protects one of the largest remaining intact pieces of unplowed prairie within the Blackland Prairie ecoregion. The preserve is home to rich plant communities that support a myriad of wildlife, including varied pollinators, grassland birds, and mammals.
For spring 2026, we are offering 3 start times – 9:00am, 10:30am, and 12:00pm. Each tour will last approximately one hour. This will allow for more visitors to experience the spring beauty within the prairies.
Bring your binoculars or camera, a sun hat, and hiking shoes, and come join us as we learn about grassland ecology and the history of TNC’s conservation work in the region and Texas!
Registration is required.
