We currently have 37 bob white quail chicks in our garage.

I mostly volunteer at the Connemara Meadow. I enjoy the wide variety of projects and activities going on at the meadow. We currently have 37 bob white quail chicks in our garage. In a few weeks they will be big enough to be released into the meadow to hopefully expand the population of this native bird.

This one is about 4 days old.
I have really enjoyed being a part of the Blackland Prairie chapter of the Texas Master Naturalists. Our chapter does a tremendous job of providing great educational and service opportunities. There is always a new project to help with and something new to learn. And as much fun as it is to serve in the great projects, my favorite part of our chapter is the people. We truly do have the best members.
