Anita Bigbee on Tractor at Connemara

“Volunteering at Connemara is often the highlight of my week. “

Anita Bigbee

Being there is always an adventure, whether setting up irrigation, mowing with the tractor, seeding prepared plots with grass or wildflower seeds, watching the wildlife, or feeding the quail. Seeing the fruits of all the labor is so rewarding. The bonus of working and conversing with a group of like-minded people brings such satisfaction. I’m grateful that our chapter offers an opportunity like Connemara Meadow, where you can get your hands dirty and work toward restoring a small piece of our Blackland Prairie.
