Each month we will highlight one person who shared their thoughts on being a part of the Blackland Prairie Chapter.
This month we hear from Deb Cantebury, Class of 2014.
I grew up with my dad teaching me to rock hunt, identify scat, watch for snakes, know your plants and trees and respect nature. After several decades of thinking I had to work for a living I retired. Donna Cole presented a class about the real history of The Colony. I attended. I was deliriously happy to find like minds do exist in the North Texas wasteland. I was hooked on Blackland Prairie Master Naturalist liturgy. Still am hooked even though my participation is limited. Best of all I can be a kid again while interacting with kids at The Heard.
