The April schedule is heavily focused on Earth Day celebrations and the City Nature Challenge.
- Earth Day & Community Festivals:
- April 11: Virginia Parklands Neighborhood Earth Day Celebration (McKinney) and EarthFest 2026 “Little Makers, Big Planet” (Allen).
- April 15: Earth Day at Collin College (Frisco).
- April 16: STEAM Night at Furr Elementary School (Prosper).
- City Nature Challenge (BioBlitz Events): 2026 iNaturalist City Nature Challenge April 24-27
- April 24–27: Various BioBlitz events across Frisco, Plano, and McKinney using iNaturalist. – 2026 iNaturalist City Nature Challenge April 24-27
- April 25: BioBlitz with the Blackland Prairie Raptor Center (Lucas) and an evening Mothing Event at Frisco Commons Park.
- April 26: Guided BioBlitz and an evening Mothing Event at the Heard Museum (McKinney).(fee & registration required)
