Erwin Park 2025 Prairie in Bloom Guided Tours

03/15/2025 by mconnally

Mary Abercrombie, Class of 2022

Prairie in Bloom Guided Tours on April 12 at 9 a.m. & 10 a.m. at Erwin Park.

These guided tours will highlight Erwin Park’s spring blooms and the role of native plants in water filtration, wildlife support, and air quality improvement, while also emphasizing the importance of preserving our natural greenspaces. I am particularly excited to see the prairie after the controlled burns.

See Erwin Park’s April Blooms on this Tour, guided by Blackland Prairie Texas Master Naturalists.

  • Learn about native plants’ benefits, including their water filtration qualities, importance to wildlife, and positive impacts on air quality.
  • Learn how to protect our natural greenspaces better.
