We are always looking for ways to honor the founder of the Connemara Meadow, Frances Williams. She was big time supporter of the arts and we reached into that “DNA” this morning to host our first Memorial Day Weekend Artists in the Meadow event. We have thousands of wildflowers blooming now and wanted to give the artists an opportunity to capture some of those scenes.

There have been lots and lots of great photos taken of the wildflowers at the Meadow. I’ve never seen a better one than this, taken by Connie Roschlau Ball. I call this plot the “Maureen” plot, named after a friend of mine’s wife, who really loved the wildflowers of TX.
