I found the BPTMN booth at the 2013 Learn 2 Live Green event where I was a volunteer for Live Green in Plano. So I started attending the BPTMN meetings, got to talking with members and decided that was the organization where I needed to be. I started volunteering at BPRC right off the bat as a trail guide, and I’ve been there ever since. Now I’m an officer on the BPRC Board and the manager in charge of conservation and restoration. Why do I stay active? Because we make a difference, it gives me the opportunity to attempt to inspire others and share what I know.
