Our Tribe’s Fortune 2,500 Hours – Terry Comingore

Terry Comingore, 2017

“Though I still have so much to learn, it’s a joy to be in the nature experience and share that experience with my granddaughters.”

I always thought that after I retired, I’d volunteer with Sea Center Texas, Gulf Coast Bird Observatory, or Cradle of Texas Master Naturalist. After moving for family reasons, I spent some time finding out what was in the area. Blackland Prairie Master Naturalist was a perfect fit. Living in Wylie, I show up at the Wylie Prairie Restoration Project nearly every week. I also work with the ponds, repairs, and projects at the Heard; help with Spring Creek Preservation Association, and other activities as they come along.

(Curator note: Terry also helped with recommending and setting up a much needed sound system at the SRC building at the Heard Museum.)
