Most of my volunteer time is spent working in Animal Care at the Heard Museum. I really love taking care of the animals and watching how excited all the visitors are when they interact with animals and nature. The Animal Care team is a great group of people to work with. Starting in 2022, I became a member of the education committee. It is very rewarding to help create learning materials for people who are wanting to become master naturalists. Overall, I feel very fortunate to be a part of the Blackland Prairie Chapter.
I look back and think of everything I have learned while putting in volunteer hours. It seems the more you learn the more you realize how much you do not know! Looking forward to continuing my education in nature so I can share with others.
