Michelle Connally, 2018
Came across the Texas Master Naturalists training program on my quest to learn all things about growing food in North Texas. Each year as a Master Naturalist I learn more about the beautiful clay soil, our local flora, specifically edible natives. The wide variety of programs offered to our members continue to expand my gardening and cooking experiences. In addition to my volunteer time at BPTMN, I tend to a donation garden 15-20 hours per week. My 500 VH hours were accumulated by accepting the honor of becoming the bptmn.org webmaster and deploying Microsoft Office 365 for our chapter data archives & leadership email. My volunteer time as webmaster allows me to give back to BPTMN by publishing content specifically tailored for our Blackland Prairie Chapter members, future students and community. These publishing tasks include current photos of projects, VH&AT calendar events, Chapter Meeting posts, Current news and the monthly Shaking of the Trees newsletter.
