Texas Environmental Excellence Award Winner – Bob Mione

Our very own, Bob Mione was awarded the Texas Environmental Excellence Award in the individual category for his work at the Connemara Nature Preserve.

“We have just been blessed.” Mione said. “The city of Allen and the Audubon Society have been very generous with their grants for us. All that money is used for restoration, from seeds, equipment, to irrigation. Our biggest success is figuring out how to irrigate water from Rowlett Creek.
