The application window for the 2026 New Class Training is CLOSED

10/16/2025 by mconnally

Nancy Casillas, New Class Director

The application window for the 2026 Training Program has closed. The 2027 window will open in Fall 2026.

Until then, here are steps you can take:

  1. Use this FORM to add your name to our “Interested” list. This will include you in all of our application reminder emails.
  • Remember that while you are waiting, you can attend our chapter meetings as a guest and can individually volunteer with our partner projects.

Many Texas Master Naturalists got started volunteering with one of our partners before being admitted to a training class. By engaging with our partners, you can make a positive impact in our community right away. You can see a list of projects on our chapter website. Furthermore, our chapter offers numerous volunteer activities that are open to the public. To stay informed about these and other opportunities, please refer to our Calendar for updates on upcoming volunteer activities.

We would also like to extend an invitation for you to attend our chapter meetings, which are open to the public. These monthly gatherings, held on the second Tuesday of each month at the Heard Museum and Sanctuary in McKinney,  feature engaging speakers. You have the flexibility to attend in person or virtually through our hybrid meetings, but we encourage you to attend in person if possible. It’s an excellent way to become better acquainted with our organization. For information about our upcoming meetings, please visit our homepage.
