The Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation recently shared information about an amazing ongoing project. “Over the past year, surrendered Texas tortoises have been carefully rehabilitated by Texas Parks and Wildlife wildlife biologists and Texas A&M researchers to prepare them for release back into their native South Texas habitat this fall. This effort is giving these remarkable reptiles a second chance while helping educate Texans about their conservation.”
