Hi Master Naturalists!
We are looking for some volunteers to work in the Master Naturalist Booth at the Hay Day Festival at Connemara Meadow on Saturday, October 1. Your mission: To help kids create nature journals. Find out more below.
Description: This is a free family event to celebrate the fall out in the meadow and to connect kids and families to nature. There will be activities geared just for kids such as guided walks, hayrides, reptile demos, seed harvesting/ball station, kids-yoga, and more!
Event: Outreach Booth – Connemara Meadow Hay Day Festival
Master Naturalist volunteers are needed to staff an outreach booth and to help kids create nature journals. If you like kids and want to spend a few hours out in the meadow, please join us!
Dates/Hours:
Event: Saturday, October 1 – 10am-1pm
Booth Shifts: Saturday, October 1. 2022 – 9:30-11:30 and 11:30-1:30
Location: Top of the Connemara Meadow Preserve
Gate Entry: Roberta Dr & Bass Dr, Plano, TX 75025
Parking: The grass lawn after you enter the gate. There will be volunteers helping coordinate arrivals.

Please select the Texas Master Naturalists Outreach Booth (Scroll all the way to the bottom) You’re free to sign up for four hours, but we split shifts up into two 2-hour segments.
Dress: Routine dress for activity in the field: Long-pants, boots/close-toed shoes, and Master Naturalist logo shirt. Be sure to wear your name badge! Don’t forget a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent and a bottle of water.
Logging VH: Time spent working in the booth, setting-up/taking-down booth, and travel time to/from the event should be logged as BPTMN: Public Outreach (includes Master Naturalist booth) with “Hay Day Festival” in the description box.
